The Weekend


Cold and blustery outside, this weekend proved to be warm and cozy at our house.

Friday night chesse crispettes perfect with a Negroni
Saturday morning bran muffin
A cup of turkey chili for lunch between errands

A healthy dinner of roasted mushroom and string bean farro salad from Closet Cooking


Sunday brunch potatoes and eggs

Sunday dinner half time skirt steak sandwiches

    1. Susan: Thanks for stopping by. The crispettes are from Food 52--similar to cheese straws, but with the surprise ingredient of panko bread crumbs. Enjoy.

  4. We spent most of the weekend inside cooking, baking, eating, warming up. It helped me from feeling stuck in the house, because it certainly was frigid on the streets of NYC. But then this morning, kind of balmy. Took a long walk since you never know these days with the weather.
