Waiting for Sandy

And now we wait.

So what did I do in the days leading up to Hurricane Sandy? Yes, that's right, I cooked.

Pesto meatballs and tomato sauce, pumpkin turkey chili, beef barely soup  and the still-cooling Bran muffins, this time studded with plump raisins.

And now we wait--and pray.

To all on the East Coast, stay safe.

    1. Scary, indeed. I forgot to mention it, but I did include wine on that check list.

  3. So many cooked while they waited. Our kitchens are comforting. Hope you are well. My husband is in CT with his mom and they just got power back this afternoon. Woot!

  5. Glad to hear wine was on the list. I can't imagine what it must have been like. So here is a rather belated (as usual) virtual cheer to you all. Now about those pesto meatballs. Love from R in Rome x
